What is going on in the Armed Forces? Three killings in the North Carolina area inside of a year. Two by Marines and one by an Army type. Sen. Warner, R-VA, has proposed going back to the 55 mph national speed limit. I do not think it is going to affect the world oil prices much. Thoughts?

Something just struck me...yeah I'm slow...anywhooooo, Has anyone seen any of the folks from Iowa on TV crying about not getting their subsidy checks from the govt because of the flooding? The flooding has been described as similar to Katrina so......

Have I missed something? Those crazy kids from Iowa just don't get it. They apparently didn't see any of the news after Katrina hit New Orleans.

OK...what do you guys think about this fiasco? I'm thinking its just about 2 midgets short of a full three ring circus. I do not want these clowns in power. The Florida piece almost reminds me of the screwed up mess a few years ago when we were having to count "chad" till we were ready to throw up. Not really sure how Michigan got caught up in it all, but it sure is

Putting the "rights" of Walmart aside, what are they thinking? I would love to see them lose money at least double what they are taking from this family..How on earth do they justify this to themselves? Its absolutely disgusting that a multibillion dollar company could be so petty especially to someone who is so vunerable. I think its time for a huge boycott.

This Marine is stationed here at Indian Head. He wrote a response to the dixie chicks "Im not ready to make nice". The back ground is music from Toby Keiths Easy Money Band. This kid has done tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan and he feels as most military do that we are doing good things over there despite what the media is selling.

I personally don't, not long term anyways. I think the general election will still be McCain and Obama. Of those two I'm not sure who'd win, I'll have to wait and see the debates between the two of them to really get a feel for that.

What is it with these big companies that hire within? They post jobs with the full knowledge that they will not be hiring a person on the "outside". It is such a waste of time and resume` paper sending resume` after resume` to these idiots. I want to file a lawsuit and sue them for false job posting. They do this most likely to avoid legal issues but what happens is they cause too much unneeded work for people who really truly are trying to gain employment. If they could have some...
