Upon arrival at Naha AFB, I remember being greeted by a blast of heat getting off the plane. My Dad took us to our house and as I walked across the yard I crunched a million snails. I was distraught and blamed my father for ruining my life. After that, I only have fond memories. I was there 66-69. I went to school dances and remember SUmmertime being played a lot. What do I remember from the 20th Century or at least my part of it?

Lets see, daisys near my 2nd grade class at Hampton Roads Elementary School, Virgina and laying in a field of clover looking up at the sky of blue and just being free.

The day Kennedy died and how the AFRT station in Germany just played the news reports over and over, My dad and everyone elses rushing to work because we were all afraid the Russians were behind it.

Trips through Germany, France etc...

Maybe not 20th Century but certainly Okinawa

As I was reading through the website I suddenly remembered my first year on Okinawa running through the grass barefoot after a very wet rain and suddenly stepping on and squishing not one or two but many snails! Suddenly I was in the middle of a mine field of snails taking advantage of the torrential rains. Never again would I run barefoot. Flip flops and zori's were the item of the day after that! Reunion Suggestion - Hospitality Album

Just a suggestion:

Would some people be interested in printing out some of the more interesting board discussions, and 3-hole-punching the pages for an album binder, to take to the reunion for sharing?

If you are interested, will you go ahead and do it, and post "Copied for Reunion" on the forums you want to do?

I'll make a couple of Hospitality Room album binders and make sure they get into the room for the pages.
