July, rain-heat season is in full force.
August, it starts to get a little old.
September is the BIG DEEP HEAT/HUMIDITY PITS.
Hang tight -- it's almost over.

October 1st, the heat breaks and the most beautiful month begins. Plant your tomatoes and veggies in mid-October. November is cool-down, very pleasant.
December, January, February -- mild days, cool evenings. All your relatives and friends will visit during those four months.
Occasionally a frost nip, but rarely more than once or twice. April and May are Spring, warming up again, lots of flowers. June 1st, rainy season begins.
Give up on veggies and many flowers; wait until fall.
But, we have beautiful palms, bougainvilla, canna lilies, hibiscus, and more all year long. Can't beat that!

There you have it. I'm like you -- can take the heat, can't take cold. Have to have sunlight. Hate ice, snow, that somber no-sun grey sky, monochromatic landscape. I don't regret the trade-off at all. Sounds like you won't, either.
