I remember the name Bolo Point.

Thank you so much for sharing your memories, Bill. You helped trigger some swimming memories.

Somebody told me the snakes couldn't bite you underwater because they would drown. Although that is erroneous, I'm glad I believed it, or I wouldn't have been so bold in the water.

The experience of Okinawa and its pristine waters influenced me all my life. After Okinawa, wherever I lived, I sought to recreate the sub-tropical environment, even up North. I wanted to recapture the image of palms swaying against a, orange-pink sunset sky, turning to dusk. It compelled me to visit tropical places, where I always compared each place's similarities to Okinawa. Still now, snorkeling is my favorite trip to the "art gallery."

This realization of how deeply Okinawa influenced me in my life style preferences and even my choice of studies really hit home after I connected with new-found Dragons almost two years ago; and had someone to talk about Okinawa, who understood.

I appreciate this connection very much.
