Every two to three years I would get the "I gotta go now" feeling. My Mom said we had Gypsie blood. The old saying about the two best places you've ever lived: "Where your moving to and where you moved from" seemed true to me. I am finaly getting over it (almost) and marrying my wife was a huge desicion becuase I knew it was more than a commitment to her it was a commitment to stay in San Diego where her family is.

I have been here for 24 years ... I still can't belive it, for the first 20 years I still had that gotta run feeling every two to three years, then about every five years and now I am not sure I could ever leave San Diego.

But to answer your question out right ... YES the wanderlust has been so powerful in the past I almost felt physicaly ill when I didn't move. It is fading with time but I don't believe it will ever go away.

I still remember when I found out people where born, lived, and died in the same town ... I was 16 years old and to this day I still can't wrap my head around that concept even though my wife will probably be an example of it.
