While I agree with my articulate friends Tim G. and Sherry B., there is a shadow side to all of the moving.

Putting down roots and longevity are rich and valued ingredients in living. Moving helps one to widen their horizons and you can't do a thing in life without varied experiences.

However, look at all of the postings over the years on this board concerning a search for "a home". Sadly, that's often lost.

Been in Seattle for almost eight years now...that's a record for my professional life. Plan on staying. Feels good. I seem to have exorcised the wanderlust to some degree.
