Someone talked about swimming there. One thing about Okinawa was the beautiful beaches and the clear water we swam in. The coral was amazing. You could see far down to the bottom and also see the beuatiful fish. One day I saw a snake go sliding by. There were "puffer fish" to that were spiny. I had never swam in clear warm water like that before. I think we were spoiled foverer by that beautiful place. I've gone to lots of vacation places to be near that kind of water again. Have you, too?
Do you remember your favorite places and what they were like? I remember Okuma, and Ishikawa, especially.
The 2-man bicycles at Okuma with the umbrella on top. The cafeteria and the wreck room. What else does anyone remember? My memories are fading.
There was Moon Beach, and of course some of the pools. I read on these boards that some of the pools and clubs are gone now. But I bet the water and beaches are still beautiful.
How did we get away with getting all the beer for our beach parties? I don't remember now. I guess that's age. Hard to believe so many years have past.
